Why Your PowerPoint Presentations Suck and What You Can Do About It

No one can dispute that PowerPoint is the most popular presentation tool out there. In the Business world, Powrpoint is the absolute standard. Ever since Microsoft released PowerPoint businesses have used PowerPoint for sales presentations, idea pitches and even for webinars. PowToon has set out on a mission to destroy boring presentations and it’s working. Check out what an enthusiastic Powtoonists created on his very first try.

So, if you are looking for PowerPoint alternatives, want some cool new presentation templates or just interested to see what new presentation options are out there check out this video!

4 Reasons why your PowerPoint presentations suck and what you can do to fix it

The Powtoon below was created by Matthew Kostanecki, it was his first attempt at making one. Here is what Matthew has to say about PowToon:

“It honestly wasn’t as hard as I assumed. I feel like there’s a significant initial learning curve but once you figure out the first slide, it’s smooth sailing from there. Luckily enough, in this case, I figured it out fairly easily. There were a few minor quirks along the way, but I’m sure once it’s off Beta, those should be ironed out :). Working with Powtoon was actually minimal, I would say about 2-3 hours in total using the software. Doing the research and coming up with a script for the voice over artist took longer than that.
To make a great presentation, you want to tell a story and hopefully teach people something new. I think PowToon will help with my speaking experience and definitely make my marketing presentations more memorable. Everyone expects boring old power point slides, this is a sure-fire way to wake them up and make them take notice!

I think people are afraid of video since they assume it’s too hard, expensive or time consuming. PowToon really does bring down those barriers. For a marketer, the ability to create great looking videos on demand is a skill they NEED to have. “
