Employee Turnover... no more

But HOW?

STEP 1
Understand what the effects could be of a single turnover.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) reported that on average it costs a company 6 to 9 months of an employee's salary to replace him or her.

DID YOU KNOW?

For an employee making $60,000 per year, that comes out to $30,000 - $45,000 in recruiting and training costs.
So, how do we keep employees engaged then?

It is estimated that only  32% of employees are actually engaged in their job

Any business owner  wants employees who are highly motivated, engaged and excited to be working. Unfortunately, it is almost NEVER that simple.

But following a few of the next recommendations may help in raising  employee engagement levels!
Thorough On Boarding and Training

A SHRM survey concluded that you have less than SIX MONTHS to help a new employee become engaged with their position.

Employees who can master their workload have a better shot at taking pride in what they do.

Employees who are eager to meet their goals are engaged with the company
(Studies have shown that creating relationships at work can increase engagement..over 60% more) so encourage relationships among the employees during their onboarding!

Set GOALS!

Studies show that reaching goals is something  that can keep employees engaged

and DON'T FORGET to let employees know how their goals and work are contributing and  impacting the organization

Set personal, and company wide goals

Treat people... like PEOPLE!

Simple things like saying:

Hello
Good morning
Thank you
Have a good night

Acknowledge:

Anniversaries, Birthdays or Accomplishments
According to Forbes, “Employee engagement is the level of commitment, passion, and loyalty a worker has toward their work and company. The more engaged an employee is, the more work they’ll put forth.”

Taking steps to ensure the on boarding and training is successful, individual and company goals are set, and lastly that people are treated like PEOPLE; will ultimately bring the research to life! Try it!
