A hotel chain charges 3000 Php for the first two nights and 1500 Php for each additional nights stay.

A. The total cost function f(x) where x is the function of the number of nights that a guest stays.
B. How much will be charges if the guest spend 5 nights stay?
SOLUTION
A. f(x) = 3000 ; if 0 < x ≤ 2
                          3000 + 1500 (x-2) ; if x > 2
               the total function cost is 
     f(x)= 3000 + 1500 (x-2)

SOLUTION
A. f(x) = 3000 ; if 0 < x ≤ 2
                          3000 + 1500 (x-2) ; if x > 2
               the total function cost is 
     f(x)= 3000 + 1500 (x-2)

B. f(x)= 3000 +1500 (5-2)
 = 3000+ 1500 (3) 
= 3000+4500 
f(x)= 7500
