A wake-up call for my health
Last summer was one of the hardest times of my life.
I got a terrible illness that made me feel tired and weak every day.
The worst part was the pain in my chest that never seemed to go away. 
Even breathing sometimes hurt so much that I could barely move.
“Mom, I don't think I can take this anymore.
It hurts so much.”
I whispered one evening, clutching my chest.

Full of worry, she said: “Hang in there, sweetie,let's get you to the hospital right now.”

I decided to go to the hospital, where the doctor had to examine me carefully.
After some tests, they said they needed to investigate more because the cause was not clear yet.
“We need to run a few more tests,”
the doctor said gently. “Don't worry, we'll figure this out together.”
Finally, they told me that I needed a small operation to fix the problem.
“An operation?”
I gasped.
“Is it dangerous?”

“It's a minor procedure,”
the doctor reassured me with a kind smile.
“You'll be in good hands.”

The night before the surgery, I barely slept.

I lay awake, listening to the ticking clock on the wall, feeling both fear and hope fighting inside me.
The surgery only took about one hour, but to me, it felt like forever.
After the operation, the doctor gave me a prescription for medicine to control the pain and help me heal faster. 
He also shared a recipe for a healthier life, which included better food, exercise, and more sleep. 
Looking back, that experience taught me that health is precious, and we should take care of it before it’s too late.
