Always attend classes and be an active listener. Participate.
BODY LANGUAGE IS EVERYTHING.
During class:
Make eye contact with the professor.
Have an upright body posture.
Look confident.

make sure you understand what you're writing down. 
While taking notes
Get help right away.
Ask questions during class. This proves you have an active mindset. 
Questions infer that you are taking the content seriously and want to further your understanding. 
Take the initiative to ask the question
Find the right study spot. This makes the whole difference.
