Topic 1:
“The limits of my language are the limits of my world” 
Ludwig Witgenstein
Infants speak what they hear, so the first vocals are derived from caregivers repeating syllables i.e., ma-ma. This is followed by onomatopoeic sounds i.e., pop, splash. 
Over time, sounds became associated with objects and actions, which get combined into longer sounds that eventually formed full words.
