WKS 3-4 ULD Influenced Reflection 
Three content standards 2nd Grade
Universal Design for Learning is a teaching approach that aims to create learning environments accessible to all students by providing multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed rewardless of their abilities or learning style.
To be able to integrate anti-racism into 2nd Grade Common Core standards, focus on building empathy, understanding different perspectives, celebrating diversity, and promoting fairness through age- appropriate discussions about respecting others regardless of appearances and stories in reading materials, and using inclusive language across subjects like math and science, all while fostering a safe space for open dialogue about differences. 
Social Justice in education refers to the practice of ensuring all students, regardless of their background or identity, have equal access to quality education, resources, and fair treatment within a school system, aiming to dismantle systemic inequalities and promote equity for all learners. 
Culturally sustaining pedagogy is a teaching method that centers student's cultural identities and experiences in the classroom. it aims to support students in sustaining their cultural and linguistic identities while also providing access to the dominant culture. 
DI.K-2.7 Students will be able to develope language and knowledge to accurately and respectfully describe some ways they are similar to and different from people who share their identities and those who have other identities.
JU. K-2.12 Students will be able to know when people are treated unfairly.
ID.K-2.1 Students will be able to develop positive social identities based on their membership in multiple groups i society. 
Three Content Standards
Challenges I faced 
A big challenge I faced while completing question #1 was finding the appropriate content standards that would go for my grade level as well as my school Ayer Elementary. After looking for the standard I had to make sure they matched not just the demographics of my school and their surroundings, but I also had to match the diverse and cultural groups I had in my school. 
How does your developing understanding of anti-racism influence your thoughts on the content standards and students who you will be teaching? 
Developing understanding of anti-racism significantly influences how one views content standards and students by demanding a critical examination of curriculum to ensure it actively addresses systemic racism, incorporates diverse perspectives, and creates an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to learn; it also encourages us future educators to be mindful of potential biases in our teaching practices and actively work to dismantle the when interacting with students from various backgrounds.
