How to prevent Fires in the Kitchen

Don't leave your cooking area
-You should always be attentive when cooking 
 
-You should also avoid any distractions such as your phone

-If you need to leave the area remember to turn off any appliances that you are using

-You should also never leave the house and let something cook while your gone

Create a safe cooking space

-Have around 3-feet of safe and clean cooking space so that children and pets don't come into contact with heat
 
-Anything that could catch on fire  should not be near the stove

-Have any handles on pots and pans facing away so children and pets don't push it over

Other appliances
-Make sure that other appliances in the kitchen are clean, kept away from children and away from the stove

-You should also not use any appliances that have a frayed cord

-When using the microwave, read the label properly to see how to microwave it and if it is safe enough to do so
