Positive Performance Management
As we approach the start of the next performance appraisal year let’s start with a Re-fresh of our Coaching and Valuing Performance framework

In adapting to a more agile way of working which will enable us to support UTM and maintain a high performing culture, we want to continue to engage, motivate, recognise and value all our employees.
We recognise that workloads and responding to priorities across the business has meant, without realising, we have placed less importance on managing performance. We all need feedback! Let’s work together to get to back to having meaningful performance reviews!

To re-focus and help us achieve this, we are rolling out refresher training for our line managers and for all employees.
In 2020 we moved away from the traditional way of conducting performance appraisals

We listened and simplified the process
Quarterly check–ins, enabling managers and employees to meet on a regular basis
Streamlined our EmPerform system by embedding our values and  allowing easier input and recording of performance discussions
