JANUARY 1 
The Big Bang (12:00 AM)
Formation of the First Neutral Atoms (12:15 AM)
- Things started to happen more slowly as the universe 
continued to expand and cool, electrons locked in orbits 
around nuclei formed the first atoms.

- These mostly consisted of helium and hydrogen, which continue to be the universe's two most abundant elements.

- The universe began as a single point, 
then it expanded and stretched to grow 
as large as it is right now

- With unimaginable force, the explosion from this incredibly dense point created matter and propelled it outward to form the billions of galaxies that make up our huge cosmos.

Formation of First Stars and Galaxies (3:59 PM)
JANUARY 20
      - Small clusters of dark matter started to form as a result of their own gravity. These clumps merged to form bigger clumps, which then merged to form even bigger clumps.The protogalaxies would then combine to become galaxies in a similar manner, and the galaxies would assemble into galaxy clusters.

- Over time, gravity slowly shepherded the densest regions of hydrogen gas into compact clouds, which ultimately collapsed to form the first stars.

MAY 6
Formation of the Thin Disk of the Milky Way Galaxy (7:59 AM)
- The stars would maintain the larger scale height of a thick disk while the gas would collapse back onto the galactic plane to form a thin disk.

- Our galaxy's disk is incredibly narrow, only around 100 times wider than its own height. Nearly all of our galaxy's gas, 
dust, hot young stars, and star-forming 
regions are present there.

Formation of the Solar System (5:35 PM)
SEPTEMBER 2
- Together, the Sun and the planets emerged from the solar nebula, a cloud of gas and dust.

- The collapse of the solar nebula was most likely brought on by a shock wave from a nearby supernova explosion. The planets formed in a thin disk around the Sun, which formed in the center of the solar system.
Formation of the Moon

SEPTEMBER 3
- The moon was created when the Earth collided with a smaller planet, around the size of Mars. The Moon was created when the impact's leftover debris gathered in an orbit around Earth.
SEPTEMBER 22
Birth of Life on Earth
(4:04 PM)
- Traces of life have been detected in slightly older rocks, a series of ancient metamorphosed sediments have been found. Analyses revealed carbon isotope signatures that appear to have been produced by organisms.
NOVEMBER 9
First cells develop on Earth (4:04 PM)
- The first cell is presumed to have emerged from the enclosure of self-replicating RNA in a membrane consisting of phospholipids.

- Two long hydrophobic tails are attached to a hydrophilic head group in each phospholipid molecule.

DECEMBER 18
First Vertebrates

- The environments that the creatures live
in are shallow coastal waters, freshwater, 
or the deeper ocean based on the geology of the rocks the fossils 
were found in.

- Some fishes gained streamlined and bodies good for fast swimming in deep waters; While others have stronger, more armored bodies and stayed close to shore or moved into into rivers or lakes
First dinosaurs

- The earliest definitive dinosaur is not one animal but an entire ecosystem containing a few different species.

First Mammals (4:04 PM)
- The earliest known mammals were morganucodontids, which were small shrew-like creatures.They were one of several mammal lineages that appeared around the same time. All living mammals, including humans, are descended from the single line that survived.
DECEMBER 30
Death of the Dinosaurs from a Giant Impact (6:28M)
-The asteroid was about 12 kilometers in diameter and was traveling around 27,000 mph when it created a 200 km scar on the planet’s surface. The impact was estimated to have vaporized the evaporite rocks.

- It sent 325 gigatons of sulfur and 435 gigatons of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The airborne sulfuric acid led to lethal acid rain that rained for days, killing countless marine animals.
DECEMBER 31
First Bipedal Hominids 
(9:30 PM)
- The earliest hominid with the most extensive evidence for bipedalism is the Ardipithecus ramidus.

- They retained primitive features such as long, curved fingers and toes as well as longer arms and shorter legs, indicating that they spent most of their time in trees.

First Homo Sapiens 
(11:52 PM)
- Homo sapiens is part of a group called hominids, which are thought to diverge from other primates. They also share the trait of bipedalism.

- They hunted and gathered food, and evolved behaviors to survive.
Development of Agriculture
(11:59:37 PM)
- When humans began to domesticate plants and animals, agricultural communities arose.

- Families and larger groups were able to build communities and transition from a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle dependent on foraging and hunting for survival by establishing domesticity.

Development of the Wheel 
for Transportation (11:59:45 PM)
- Early Homo sapiens discovered that rolling round objects allowed them to be easily moved which their descendents improved on by transporting large objects on cylindrical logs. With the invention of the wheel and axle, a rolling log could be inserted through a hole in a wheel to form a cart.

- The development of air-filled rubber tyres allowed wheels to become much faster, sturdier, and stronger, thereby redefining transportation.

The invention of the Telescope

- It’s described as a device that aids “seeing faraway things as though nearby.”

- It consisted of a convex and concave lens in a tube. The combination magnified objects three or four times.
Right now (12:00 AM)
- We are currently living in the Information Agem as characterized by the rapid adoption of new technologies. This Information Age is being powered by a Knowledge Economy that values problem solving and critical thinking over the rote skills of the Industrial era which is a true indicator of modernity.
