Panthertown 
Panthertown is having a meeting for everyone next Thursday (April 25) after school in room 702. The topic is Autism Awareness. Snacks will be available!

**YOU MUST BE CLEARED FOR SPRING CHEER WITH THE ATHLETICS OFFICE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLINICS, TRAININGS, OR TRYOUTS**
It's time for 
CHEER TRYOUTS!
Who are we interested in?
 Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen interested in Varsity or JV Cheer  next School Year! 
We are a Co-ed Team. All genders are welcome! 
What makes a great cheerleader?
We are looking for student athletes/performers who are energetic, hard-working, enjoy being in front of a crowd, and are up for a challenge.
Experience is helpful, but not required. We'll teach you what you need to know for tryouts. 
When do I need to show up?
Information Packet Pick-Up:
Packets will be available in the Athletics Office and in room 507 beginning Monday, April 15. 
A completed packet is required to tryout!
Skill Clinics - Monday 4/29-Thursday 5/2 
This is where you will learn the cheers,  dances, and other skills needed for tryouts. 
**Boys will work on Partner Stunt and other skills in place of some of the dance requirements.**
In-Person Tryouts: Friday 5/3 - Starting at 4:00pm
Video Tryouts: Only for students who cannot attend in-person tryouts because of participation in another school activity or sport. **Must be pre-approved with Coach Christensen.**

badminton next year?
*  Who:  Anybody interested in playing next school year.  The sport is primarily for female athletes, but all are welcome.
*  What:  Informational meeting about summer practice/conditioning.
*  Where:  Coach Carlon’s room #106
*  When:  Every Wednesday during B lunch in April.
*  Why:  Come find out what the sport is about and what you need to join our up and coming team.
Can You Use Free Money for College?

Who: Juniors retaking the ACT in June or July
	 Fee Waivers available with your counselor

Advisory Penny War!
Each advisory has an opportunity to win prizes by donating pennies into your donation box.  Place a nickel, dime, or quarter (or dollars!) in an opposing advisory box to reduce their penny donations! Good Luck!

All donations benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Raise money for a great cause! Help fight childhood Leukemia!
The battle begins March 25th! The best four advisories on May 3rd win points for their classes! 
Summer School Applications are now available in the counseling office!
When: Tuesday, May 28th - Thursday June 27th (No Fridays!)

Where: It will be held at Trevor Browne this summer as Maryvale is being beautified over the summer 

Why: Recover credits to be in good standing for graduation or take Academic Decathlon to challenge yourself.  Also, Health will be offered to those who have not yet been scheduled for it.

Free: You will receive breakfast and lunch. A bus pass will be provided if you live further than 1.5 miles from Trevor Browne. Even the course you take will be FREE!
