HYDRO-METEOROLOGICAL RISKS
Risks associated with hydrometeorology are those resulting from water-related natural events that have the potential to result in a variety of catastrophes. They frequently have a tight connection 
to atmospheric processes or severe weather.
DUE TO GLOBAL WARMING & CLIMATE CHANGE
These hydro - meteorological risks may take numerous forms, including floods from heavy rain, storms, and tropical cyclones.
Disasters brought on by geological, medical, and chemical events, among others, as well as destructive phenomena are all connected to meteorological risks.
The following are a some of the frequent and severe natural occurrences caused by hydro-meteorological hazards:

FLOOD
Definition:
TYPES OF HYDRO-METEOROLOGICAL RISKS:
When water levels in rivers, lakes, lagoons, or the ocean exceed their capacity, this natural occurrence takes place. There is also the submersion of vast areas of land that are typically dry.

Extreme rains brought on by hurricanes and tropical storms are the main causes of flooding.

When a group of thunderstorms moves over warm ocean waters, they combine to form a hurricane.

The warm air from the storm combines with the warm air from the ocean surface and rises, resulting in low pressure on the ocean surface.

They are extremely powerful natural phenomena with enormous destructive potential. A tropical cyclone is a rotating wind system composed of clouds and storms.
TROPICAL CYCLONE
Snow storms
A storm is an atmospheric phenomenon characterized by icy wind gusts and heavy snowfall.

The falling snow represents the frozen water rushing from the clouds.
They are a meteorological phenomenon caused by a sharp drop in ambient temperature below the freezing point of water.
Frost
The sudden drop in temperature causes the water or vapor in the air to freeze and accumulate as ice on the Earth's surface.

This is another meteorological phenomenon distinguished by the presence of lightning and thunder.

Lightning bolts are potentially lethal electrical discharges caused by the collision of positive and negative electrical charges in clouds. Thunder is produced when these electrical charges collide.
This lack of water is caused by the prolonged absence of rain (months or years).
It is the result of a severe water shortage.
Droughts
Hail can fall in either winter or summer. High-force winds drag a solid particle into the cloud; this particle is joined by other water particles, which freeze as they rise within the cloud.
They are frozen water drops that fall from the clouds.

These are all part of the land's natural cycle and erosive process. Gravity causes the materials to slide from the highest to the lowest areas. Heavy rains over a short period of time can also cause mudslides or landslides in a given area.
Landslides and mud
Definition:
Because of its geographic location, the Philippines is extremely vulnerable to natural disasters. Multiple hazards, including typhoons, earthquakes, floods, storm surges, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and landslides, threaten the majority of the country's total land area and nearly three-quarters of the Filipino population.
It is estimated that 20 typhoons make landfall in the Philippines each year. The most powerful of these storms cause significant damage and can kill a large number of people. 
In 2013, Super Typhoon Yolanda (also known as Typhoon Haiyan in other parts of the world) claimed approximately 6 000 lives and damaged a million homes in nine regions, making it one of the strongest storms ever recorded at landfall.
A resilient community is socially connected and has easily accessible health care systems that can withstand disaster and promote community recovery. Because it has developed resources that reduce the impact of major disturbances and help protect people's health, the community can take collective action after an adverse event. Resilient communities promote individual and community physical, behavioral, and social health in order to prepare their communities for both daily and extreme challenges.
Strategies to build resilient communities:
Strong day-to-day systems can be better leveraged to support health resilience during disasters and emergencies. People in capable systems understand how to access care and are not constrained by real or perceived barriers to services.
Promote health and wellness alongside disaster preparedness: Public health, behavioral health, emergency preparedness, and community health resilience interventions can assist people in dealing with everyday challenges as well as major disruptions or disasters.
Expand communication and collaboration: In addition to traditional public health, healthcare, and emergency management partners, create networks that include social services, behavioral health, community organizations, businesses, academia, at-risk individuals, and faith-based stakeholders.
Promote health and wellness alongside disaster preparedness: Public health, behavioral health, emergency preparedness, and community health resilience interventions can assist people in dealing with everyday challenges as well as major disruptions or disasters.
Increase social connectedness: After a major disturbance, people are more empowered to help one another in communities where members are regularly involved in each other's lives. Building social connections can be an important part of emergency preparedness.
