Creative Professional Identity Project

In Pakistan, I lived in a small town with not many resources.
How it Started 
I saw people struggles to get access to things such as medicine and healthcare. 
When I immigrated to the United States in 2014, I knew I wanted to do something that would allow me to help others. 
My desire to help others and make a difference in my community led to choosing nursing as my career. 
To afford nursing school, I had to work multiple jobs. I worked for a few years, until I could finally enroll in nursing school. I officially became a nursing student in 2020. 
Unexpectedly, the coronavirus pandemic spread in 2020, and I had to drop out because online school was a lot harder and something that worked for me. coronavirus
In 2021, I decided that I wanted to go back to school. I also found out that I was pregnant with my baby boy. Now more than ever, I wanted to achieve my goals, not only for myself but for my growing family.  
Fast Forward to 2023...
Graduation
Despite all the struggles and setbacks, I finally graduated in December 2023 and began working in the operative room in March 2024. I also started my BSN with an anticipated graduation date of 2025
I hope that in the future, I am able to make a difference in people's lives. I hope that I am able to give back to my community and also serve as a source of inspiration for my son.
