What is a copyright Strike ?
A copyright Strike means:
that your video has been taken down from YouTube because a copyright owner sent a complete and valid legal request asking YouTube to do so.

According to YouTube:
When a copyright owner formally notifies that a user does’t has his/her permission to post his/her content on the site, YouTube shall take down user's upload to comply with copyright law.

The effect of copyright Strike

A strike is a warning if it is for the first time. However, it may affect user's ability to monetize.

When a user receives three strikes, his/her account, along with any associated channels, is subject to termination.
His/her uploaded videos will be removed.
He/she won't be able to create new channels.

Resolving a copyright Strike

1. Wait for it to expire:
A copyright strike will expire after 90 days as long as you complete Copyright School.

2. Get a retraction:
A user can contact the person who claimed his/her video and ask them to retract their claim of copyright infringement.

3. Submit a counter notification:
If a video was mistakenly removed because it was misidentified as infringing, or qualifies as a potential fair use, a user may wish to submit a counter notification.
