1. Physiological Needs (Basic Survival)

Scene: Arthur is seen sitting on the floor in his apartment, taking pills for his mental health condition, which causes him to laugh uncontrollably. When the government cuts funding for mental health services, his access to medication is revoked, exacerbating his condition. His failure to meet these basic physiological and health needs sets the stage for his downward spiral.
2. Safety Needs (Security, Stability, Protection)
