What is a phobia ?
A phobia (word derived from Phobos, in ancient Greek, "panic", son of Ares and Aphrodite in Greek mythology, the personification of fear) is a disorder of emotional or psychological health that is characterized by an intense and disproportionate fear of objects or concrete situations

is the sensation of fear or fear of toad frogs and batrachians in general, normally those who suffer from it do not distinguish between species or subspecies they only know that this type of animals dislike them  
Causes of ranidofobia   
The phobia of frogs can happen for any number of reasons, or even for no reason at all. It all depends on the individual. Frog phobia could also be due to allergies, 
or a misconception about their “poisonous” nature. People often fear these animals because they think of them as extremely dangerous. Frogs are also viewed as dirty more often than not. 
People who fear dirt or uncleanliness can be led to fear frogs.
