We use algorithms every single day, but you may not notice it.
Right from the time
we start our day, we execute multiple algorithms.

Process
We also participate or contribute to the algorithms other people use.
Algorithms structure our thoughts and influence the outcome of our actions.
What is an Algorithm?
A sequence of steps to solve a certain task. 
What does it contain?
It should be finite. If the algorithm never ends then trying to solve a problem is useless.
There should be no ambiguity
It should have well-defined instructions. Each step in the sequence must be defined with no ambiguity.

A brief history
Brahmagupta developed Chakravala

628AD
Muḥammad Khwārizmī, formerly Latinized as Algorithmi was a Persian scholar

9th Century
Khwārizmī, known as the father of Algebra, expanded Bramhagupta's work on India numeral and introduced 'decimal positional number system'.

Ada Lovelace produced the very first "computer program".

1840s
A partial formalization of what would become the modern concept of algorithm began with attempts to solve the 'decision problem' posed by David Hilbert

1928
Alan Turing first formalized the concept of the algorithm with his Turing machine.

1936
A group of researchers led by Dr. Satish Deopujari started working on a concept called AlgoMan. They wanted to build a versatile platform for creating and running algorithms for the real world situations.

2016
To prove their concept in the real world scenario, the team set out to D. Y. Patil Medical College, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. They met with a batch of post-graduate medical faculty and the students.
