Falsification
- “The act of deliberately lying about or misrepresenting something” (Vocabulary.com).
- "A misrepresentation especially by embellishing a true memory with false details" (Meriam-Webster).
- The act of changing facts or representing facts untruthfully.

Why it is so important to avoid
FALSIFICATION
Reason 1 - Inaccurate information
The falsification of any type of information can result in to fabricated details later on.
Reason 2 - Conflict of Interest
Falsification can lead to some sort of conflict of interest, like the waste of time in creating and reading research.
Reason 3 - (Most Important) Academic Honesty
If caught falsifying your work, all the research you did would amount to nothing. The other thing it can do is get you in trouble.
FALSIFICATION
IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES
#1 - Basic Information
- Falsifying information on a note to your teacher, resume to appear more qualified, or changing a story.

#2 - Signatures and Authorization
- Faking a signature on any important document.
- Falsifying information on any official academic record.
- Falsifying official documents like letters of permission or grade reports.
