In order to evaluate, solve, and simplify expressions and equations it is important to use the correct order of operations. In this video, I go over when to use PEMDAS which stands for
Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction
and when you use the opposite direction or SADMEP which is PEMDAS in reverse.
PEMDAS is used when you are simplifying and evaluating. Evaluating is to find the numerical value of a mathematical expression by substituting given values for variables and performing the necessary calculations according to the order of operations. Generally there is not an equal sign or inequality sign. When you have an equation you use SADMEP
You use SADMEP when you are solving.
