Let's Learn Together: Countable vs Uncountable
Good morning, everyone!
Today we,re going to learn about countable and uncountable nouns. Does anyone know the difference?
Morning, Sir!
Sir, I think countable  nouns are things we can count, like books!
Excellent, Lia!
And  then what about uncountable nouns. Anyone knows?
Are those things we can’t count, Sir? Like water?
Exactly! Well done, Randy. Now, let’s look at some examples.
Here's a simple rule!
Countable nouns can be singular or plural. For example:
One appleTwo apples

Oh, and we can say, "I have three apples", Sir?
That’s right! But with uncountable nouns are different. You must remember this!
Countable nouns can be singular or plural. For example:
One appleTwo apples

In uncountable nouns, we don’t add an 's'. Instead, we say:
Some waterA little sugar
So, I can’t say, "two waters", Sir?
Not exactly. But you can say, "two bottles of water". You use a container or a unit for uncountable nouns.
Now let’s practice! Look at the objects on my desk. Tell me if they’re countable or uncountable.
The pen is countable, Sir!
And the milk is uncountable, Sir!
Good job!
Then now, try make it to the sentences!
I have three pens.
There is some milk in the glass!
