Slavery
Is a system by which people are owned by other people as slaves.

What is slavery?
NO MONEY
NO CHOICE
NO FREEDOM

In the past, slaves were trade or sold to another countries
In 17th century, more than 40% of all African were brought to Americas. Those slaves had a harsh life such as worked on mining, plantation, had little foods. Slaves contributed greatly in economic developement of Americas. 
Moving on to the modern day slavery
Child Sex Trafficking 
These children are chosen by traffickers. Not only the lower class are chosen but also the middle and upper class too!

Labor Force 20.9 million people were forced labor including children, women, men. Foreigner are also found in labor trafficking
According to the source BBC News, one children/victim said to the researchers, "Though I am begging I am not paid a single amount. I have to deposit all to them. I am deprived of food and good sleep. I am not paid my wages only working as a bonded labour." 
About 3000 children in Vietnam

are working in British. Children’s family will be hurt if they leave
A Vietnamese boy who was 16 years old. He was hoping to earn money for his family in Uk, but he was forced to work in the cannabis factory. "I remember asking the man who took me there if I could leave because I didn't like it but he threatened to beat me or starve me to death," he said. 
Children are imposed to beg on the street.
Vietnamese women about 17-18 years old were trying to get rid from poverty by accepting to marry Taiwanese men
As you can see, slavery existed in the past until now.  There are more slaves today than at any time in the human history! In the past, slavery was about owning and selling people. Now time has changed, people now use slaves as tools for making money.

Time, Continuity and Change

Production,distribution and consumption

As I mentioned this before, in the past slaves contributed greatly in economic developement of Americas. Today, slavery are also contributed/helped build a world economy. The slaves worked for their owners with very little to no payment, therefore resulting in a rocky economy. 
In my opinion, without them, the economy would be bad. But with them the society woould be bad.

Economic
Why is it matter?
Slaves are innocent people who don't deserve to treated like animals. They are HUMAN! 
Modern day slavery is growing rapidly meaning more slaves, less freedom.

Call For 
Action
In my opinion we should encourage others to take action against slavery, charity, donate to global companies such as Free the Slaves, End Slavery Now. Also be aware of what you buy because sometimes we contribute to slavery without noticing
