My Leadership Style

EduZenith's states 3 main
types of leadership styles:
Hierarchical

Transformational

Facilitative

Who am I?

I am a Transformational Leader:

A leader who follows this leadership fosters a sense of purpose and meaning to unite people for a better cause.   -EduZenith

I feel I am a transformational leader because:

Throughout the years, I have led my special education team in thinking outside the box to meet the challenging needs of a variety of students.

Elena Aquilar describes a great school leader as someone who is . . .

a visionary,
a community builder,
and one with
emotional intelligence.

I feel I am a visionary who supports my community in working together to best meet student needs. The area I am least skilled at based on Aguilar's work is Emotional Intelligence.  I can over think things and let my passion become emotional, however I have a great deal of empathy for the emotions of the students and staff in my care.

Maurice Elias describes the following as his top 7 characteristics of a good leader:

Based on Psychology Today's Leadership Style Test. . .

I scored 80% as a long-term planner

and 82% as a motivator and communicator of vision.

My lowest score was emotional  controller with a  68%.

It will become my focus as I strive to become a more effective leader!
