God also teaches us how we should live by giving us laws to guide our actions.
These laws are the 
Ten Commandments.

Heeding the guidance God gives us in the Commandments will help us know how to serve God and how we should act towards each other.

Living according to His laws and His plans for us makes us holy, happy, and healthy in all aspects of our lives.
How, then, do we apply these teachings in our daily lives?
Dedicate some time to converse and connect with God every day. Through this, we humble ourselves before Him, acknowledging His great power and presence in our lives.
Make prayer a habit.
Make prayer a habit.
Through prayer, we get to share all aspects of our lives with God, thank Him for His blessings, ask forgiveness for our wrongdoings, and pray for His continued guidance in our lives and the lives of others. 
Acknowledge our sins and mistakes.
By confessing our sins, we show that we are willing to repent and cleanse our souls. When we admit that we were wrong, it is easier for us to receive God's grace and work on restoring our relationship with Him. 
Read the Bible.
The Holy Scriptures gives us insights into the teachings of God. With these, we  can continually learn and remind ourselves of how we can choose to live the good and moral life He wants for us.
Share our blessings with others.
We may do this by volunteering for a cause or by donating items to charities. By doing so, we get to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters, and the act of giving allows us to receive something more valuable than material things – genuine happiness and contentment.
Show gratitude.
Expressing our gratitude is another way to strengthen our relationships with God and the people around us. By making this a conscious habit, we show appreciation for all aspects of our lives, making us feel happier and more contented.
By doing all these, we would feel closer and more connected to God, and this would enable us to detach ourselves from worldly things and choose to do what is good and right.
