MUNICIPAL FISHERIES
Municipal/ city government has jurisdiction over the city or municipal waters.

Consult FARMC ( Integrated Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council LGU’S shall enforce all fishery laws, rules and regulations as well as valid fishery ordinances.

Enact appropriate ordinances for the purpose and in accordance with the National Fishery ordinances.
USERS OF MUNICIPAL WATER
Listed in the registry of municipal fisherfolk Local chief executive and acting pursuant to an appropriate ordinance, authorize or permit small and medium commercial fishing vessels to operate within the 10.1 to 15 km area from shoreline.

Provided that, all following are met:

1. no commercial fishing in municipal waters with depth less than seven fathoms as certified by the appropriate agency.
