Porkuni school
Hello! I'm Piret Tislar, the headmaster of Porkuni School. Porkuni School is a primary school in Estonia, created for young people with special needs.
In my opinion, the career counseling system for people with disabilities in Estonia is still too poor.
People with disabilities are primarily directed to vocational education. However, education has remained the responsibility of special schools and parents.
There are still a few good assessment tools. I think that the reason is the lack of services, low awareness, and lack of specialists.
It is no secret that young people with disabilities often do not reach the labor market. Although in special schools young people with disabilities are given an education that is within their means and their skills are developed according to their abilities, many young people still do not reach further education or work.
From the point of view of a special school, the most lacking is support for everyday skills. For example, we have cases where young people could not get into vocational training because they could not be supported to get on and off the bus.
Special schools cooperate in different ways. 
Porkuni School offers its young people the opportunity to do work practice. It has several purposes. Employers can become more aware of special young people and their ability to do work. At the same time, it is also necessary for young people to learn about their abilities.
But as I mentioned at the beginning, in my opinion, career counseling for people with disabilities is still too poor in Estonia.
