When it comes to online console video games, there are some features that should be included. If they are not included, then they take away from the online gaming experience. The following is a list of these features:
Online video games need some form of voice chat. In addition to voice chat, it should also have a button to press and not open-mic. A mute feature should also be included with the voice chat to stop any whiny kids from making a scene.
Voice Chat
A lobby system is important in online video games. It works a lot better. Being able to browse all of the games and select which ones look best to you is perfect.
Lobby System
Being able to see how you are doing compared to all of the other players in world is exciting. It makes you feel more motivated to play the game and increases the replay value.
Rankings
By giving players the options of having custom games, you can make every game a unique experience. Letting players have options for all of the different features lets players select what they like best and do not like at all about games.
Custom Games
If someone comes into the game and is exploiting glitches or cheating, then players are going to want to give them the boot and force them out. It is also important to program it so it does not get abused.
Vote Kicking
If the game is not free, then the downloadable content for it should be. No video gamer wants to spend an extra $15 for video game content in addition to the original $60 they had to spend on the game.
