Before the superlative adjective, we need THE.
Let's look at the spelling rules.
SUPERLATIVES
Adjectives usually add

-est

fast   -the fastest
tall   -the tallest
rich  -the richest
long -the longest
Spelling Rules:
Adjectives ending in " -y " take away the "-y" and add

-iest

happy -the happiest
heavy - the heavyiest
early  - the earliest
pretty -the prettiest
Spelling Rules:
Adjectives ending in "-e "  just add

-st

late  -the latest
nice  -the nicest

Spelling Rules:
Adjectives ending with one vowel and one consonant,

-double the final consonant

big - the biggest
hot - the hottest
slim- the slimmest
Spelling Rules:
Some forms are

IREEGULAR

good - the best
bad   -the worst
far     -the farthest/ furthest

Spelling Rules:
A long adjective has two or more syllabless and we form it with

MOST

exciting       -the most exciting
dangerous  -the most dangerous
boring         -the most boring
