PEC700 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
My task was to create a poster with a fact about palm oil.
Hello, my name is Hanissa Surfina (012020091717).
My client works in a company that promotes Malaysian Palm Oil, so she wanted me to create a poster related to palm oil.
She told me that I am free to use my own creativity, but she provided me a list of facts that I could choose to use in my poster.
Firstly, we had a zoom meeting to discuss what she wanted in the poster.
Out of all the facts that were given, I decided to choose this one.
My client sent me examples of posters for me to get an idea on what kind of designs she like.
I began to sketch the layout of my posters.
I chose a plain background for my poster.

CREATING THE POSTER
I added an image of a bottle with red liquid. I also added a text above as the title of the poster.

I added more text above and below the image. I adjusted the text to make it curve.

Lastly, I did some minor changes by changing the colour of the bottle and changing the colour of the title. I also added a picture of carrots and a tomato. I lowered the opacity of the carrots and tomato.

These are the three samples for the final design of my poster.
My client loved this one the most.
PROCESS FOR THE OTHER TWO POSTERS
Through this activity, I was able to get a better understanding of the online IT tool that I've used, which was Canva. It was not easy at first since a lot of elements and pictures had Canva's watermark, and the only way to get rid of it was to purchase membership. However, this did not stop me from creating a poster that satisfied my client. Therefore, I've learned that we can still make use of what we have despite the limited amount of resources.
