Include more fruits and vegetables in your meals and use these for snacks. The USDA recommends we eat about 2 cups of vegetables and fruits every day.

Examples of limiting sugar consist of drinking water instead of soda with meals, eating fruit instead of dessert or even sharing a dessert. Examples of lowering fat intake are not adding extra when cooking, cut back on use of butter as a spread. Salt can be used sparingly and there are low sodium spices that can be added instead of table salt. 
Avoid food and drink that is high in sugar, fat and sodium. Limit the amount of alcoholic drinks as well.

Los ejemplos de limitación del azúcar consisten en beber agua en lugar de refrescos con las comidas, comer fruta en lugar de postre o incluso compartir un postre. Three ways to think about planning your food intake
Review your good and bad eating habits in an honest way. Think about what the triggers are to bad choices and write this down. Begin to work on the triggers that may lead you to choose some unhealthy foods. .
Replace unhealthy eating habits with healthy eating habits. For instance, without completely overhauling your daily food you can simply add the two cups each of fruit and vegetables. This may create a fullness that helps you avoid the unhealthy food choices. 
Take time to review your progress. In a positive way, take a look at your new, healthy eating habits and see what you can do to add even more value to that change. 
Tres formas de pensar en la planificación de la ingesta de alimentos
Revise sus buenos y malos hábitos alimenticios de manera honesta. Piense cuáles son los desencadenantes de las malas decisiones y anótelo. Empiece a trabajar en los factores desencadenantes que pueden llevarlo a elegir algunos alimentos poco saludables.
Reemplace los hábitos alimenticios poco saludables por hábitos alimenticios saludables.
