3 years 
before producing its first crop!

From Mid-February 
to Mid-March, 
almond trees will bloom, creating thousands of flowers covering the tree!

After the bloom, the almonds start to form from the flowers.
The almonds then grow throughout the spring and summer!

HARVESTING
When the almonds are ready for harvest, machines come in to shake the trees!
The almonds are picked up and sent to a huller
ALMOND
HARVESTING
The huller removes debris, dirt, sticks, and other objects from the pile of almonds
The huller can either keep the shell on the almond or remove it!
ALMOND
PROCESSING
The Almonds are then taken to a facility that sizes and grades it. 
The almonds can now be sold in the U.S. and around the world
Almonds are sold to countries around the world
