Today's Focus: CONCLUSIONS!
Well...What is a conclusion?
A conclusion the final point that someone making an argument is trying to convince you of; the final proposition in any argument, supported by its premises
Definition of a conclusion:
What makes a strong conclusion?

Each argument should have one conclusion. Generally, having a line of reasoning following the conclusion makes the argument stronger.

Example:
"I’m the right person for the job. I’m the best qualified and I’m available now"

This has both reasoning and a conclusion. The first sentence is the conclusion and the second contains 2 reasons.
Example #2:
"I have plenty of work experience from around the world; I’m a great worker"

This contains a line of reasoning, but does not link it to a conclusion or try to persuade the reader. It's only making an assertion of their abilities.
Conclusion-spotting technique

When you’re trying to work out whether someone is making an argument, begin by seeing if there is a particular conclusion they want to convince you of
Searching for a conclusion:
Example #1: Using the technique
 "You should definitely let me look after your cat while you’re on holiday. I love cats. And cats love me. I have lots of cats at home and know how to look after them. I have 12 cats, and I talk to them all the time. I’m a real cat expert."
The example is an argument. The conclusion comes in the first sentence: ‘you should definitely let me look after your cat while you’re on holiday.’ The rest of the paragraph includes reasoning as to why you should accept this conclusion – the fact that I love cats, have lots of cats and know how to look after them
