Who Did I Shadow
For my shadowing project, I shadowed a professor at UGA who teaches introductory and advanced physics courses 
His name is Philip Stancil and is the head of the Physics and Astronomy Department
Days Schedule 
Went over his current research, one of the things that stood out to me was his works on technosigantures to detect extraterrestial life
After going through what he did in his day he actually let me look through some of the research he was doing and let me help him with it for a bit
What we did

Unfortunately Mr. Stancil only had a few hours to walk me through everything he did so everything went by very fast but it was still extremely interesting 
After going over his research we went over what his day looked like  teaching students throughout the day. This was also very interesting as I think it would be pretty cool to teach students 
I have been passionate for astronomy and physics since before I can remember and by shadowing a professor in the field it was extremely insightful to a possible career path that I could choose if I decide to pursue phyiscs
Why this Field
Why Did I Choose Him
I have known him since the summer and teachs a field that I am super interested in which is physics and what better way to learn then from an actual professor of the field. He also did research in biology related fields that were related to astronomy which is something I was interested in it when I saw it so he was really perfect for what I watned to learn.
Takeaways

Patience
A professor needs to be able to handle his students effectively and kindly and leadership is a key role in doing this
Being able to communicate effectively is extremely important to teach properly
Without Patience a professor would not last a day in a class due to constant questions and student chaos
Future
I Learned a lot from this experience and, yes I do believe that I would like to pursure this career in the future. I have always been into astrophysics so getting my degree in that has always been a goal and then going into research about the field. While shadowing Mr. Stancil I was able to look into the kind of research he does and it gave me insight into the kind of planning and effort that starting research from scratch takes. Overall the experiance was very fun and insightful into the field of physics and astronomy and what it is like to be a professor
