5 Tips to Safer Sex for VSV
But what does VSV even stand for?
VSV
is an inclusive term used to describe persons with a vulva who have sex with persons with a vulva.

We have heard of STIs, but did you know that persons who identify as VSV get tested less often than MSM (men who have sex with men) and heterosexual partners?
STIs
Sexually Transmitted Infections
VSV partners are still at risk for transmitting STIs and HIV through vaginal fluids, open sores, and through blood.
Risky business
Even if there is no penis involved...
There are other ways of protecting yourself and your partner(s) like using a dental dam when performing oral sex or anal oral sex.
Protection
More than just condoms for
If you are starting a new physical relationship, you and your partner(s) should get tested for STIs and HIV. This helps keep everyone safe and healthy.
Testing
Testing is just as important as protection
You can drop in at one of our sexual health clinics. We offer STI and HIV testing, pap-tests, mental health counselling, and free and low cost protection such as dental dams!

That's okay! There are other ways to be intimate with your partner(s). Try adding some toys to your spicy time, just make sure to use silicone safe lubricant and wash them well after use.
