Yaitu,cara berpikir yang memungkinkan untuk mengguraikan suatu masalah menjadi beberapa bagian yang lebih kecil  dan sederhana. 
KENAPA CT PENTING UNTUK DIAJATKAN??
karena berpikir CT adalah teknik untuk menyelaseikan masalah, bukan hanya ilmu komputer saja CT juga membantu menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. dengan teknik ini kita akan belajar bagaimana berpikir secara kreatif dan terstruktur.
METODE CT DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH
penguraian (Decomposition)yaitu, memecahkan masalah yang lebih besar/komplek menjadi masalah yang lebih kecil dan bisa kita kerjakan.

Memahami pola(Pattern Recognition)yaitu, analisa dan cari hal yang berulang
Abtraksi(Abstraction) yaitu, melakukan generalisasi dan mengindentifikasi prinsip-prinsip umum yang menghasilkan pola,tren & keteraturan tersebut ataupun membuang/memfilter bagian yang tidak penting,

Algorithm yaitu, menggembangkan petunjuk pemecahan masalah yang sama secara step-by-step.
