Hi Mr Dodds. here is the duplicate of Mr dickinson's signed acceptance letter of your offer. 
Sorry Mr Berry I already sold the property to Mr Allan.

Shortly after Mr Berry left, Mr dickinson itself met Mr Dodds at the Railway Carriage and handed him the acceptance letter.

Mr Dodds refused the acceptance letter and told him that the property is sold.
How could you sell the property while you give me the offer. I will sue you for this.

In a suit against Dodds and Allen by Dickinson, Dickinson argued that he accepted Dodds’s offer within the time set forth in the offer, thus creating a binding contract. 
 Dickinson asked the Chancery Court to order that the property be conveyed to him. Vice Chancellor Bacon ruled that Dickinson validly accepted the offer when he delivered his acceptance to Dodds’s mother-in-law.
 Bacon ordered Dodds to convey the property to Dickinson. Dodds and Allen then appealed to the full Court of Chancery.
