This is Teacher Jahzmine S. Arnibal. Today, we will learn something exciting. Are you ready?
Our topic for today is Parts of Speech. But, let us know first the objectives of this lesson.
Objectives:
To know the functions of the parts of speech.
To differentiate the 8 parts of speech.
To summarize function of parts of speech and its 8 parts.
parts of speech indicates...
how the word functions in meaning as well as grammatically within the sentence. An individual word can function as more than one part of speech when used in different circumstances. Understanding parts of speech is essential for determining the correct definition of a word when using the dictionary.
The
8 PArts Of Speech
 noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. 
8 Parts Of Speech
Noun
- is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea.
Ex. 
- Jane, Rat, Book, She, Students, and etc.
proNoun
-  is a word used in place of a noun.
Ex. 
verb
-  expresses action or being.
Ex. 
- running, walking, is, are, and etc.
ADJECTIVE
- modifies or describes a noun or pronoun.
Ex. 
- pink, blue, short, tall, pretty, nice, and etc.
ADverb
 - modifies or describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
Ex. 
- quickly, shortly, sickly, yesterday, and etc.
preposition
- is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to form a phrase modifying another word in the sentence.
Ex. 
- on, in, under, near, and between. 
conjunction
-  joins words, phrases, or clauses.
Ex. 
interjection
-  joins words, phrases, or clauses.
Ex. 
To sum up everything,
There are eight parts of speech in the English language: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection.
