My name is Abigail Blake
I am 
27, have one kid, am an average American, and have gone to college for my BA.
I am considered to be in the emerging adulthood part of development. 
I am considered independent, supposedly stable in a romantic relationships, and have a clear path (Wood et. al., 2017). 
Some may argue that emerging adults are not ready for adult methods of education (Meier, 2020, p. 222-223). 
However, adults who are independent might prefer methods of self-directed learning (Merriam & Bierema, 2014).

Personally, this theory describes me. I am driven by the need to have a roof over my own head and my family's. 
The need-driven theory describes individuals who are motivated by safety, sustenance, belonging, and more (Merriam & Bierema, 2014). 
Goal and Learning-orientated learning best describes the type of learning I resonate with.

Learning-orientated learning allows me to get more knowledge of my favorite subject (Merriam & Bierema, 2014). 
Goal-orientated learning allows me to learn to achieve a new degree (Merriam & Bierema, 2014).

Motivation Strategies
Creating a safe learning environment provides the best place for an adult learner to learn without fear of humiliation or Shame (Merriam & Bierema, 2014). 
Providing timely feedback, providing assignments that relate to real-life experiences, and so on will promote the learners to see how successful they are (Merriam & Bierema, 2014).
