The betta fish trade is a global industry often tied to:

Uninformed owners sometimes release bettas into local waters, where they can’t survive or may carry diseases.

Use of plastic packaging and long-distance shipping, which has a high carbon footprint.

Mass breeding in poor conditions in countries like Thailand and Indonesia.

The trade contributes to single-use plastic pollution and carbon emissions due to international shipping.

Unwanted tank pathogens are now in water
Betta fish aren’t adapted to this environment. The ecosystem suffers too.
Think before you dump. Protect our ecosystems  and your pets.
