The importance of “Branding”

Let’s say you are a business owner, and you own a business that provides a special service or product… **News Flash** There are 50 other businesses out there just like yours that offer almost the exact same thing… So how do you deal with this? How do you, as a business owner, get people to come to your company and not that of your competitor’s? ​ Effective marketing, and, more specifically, the ability to effectively brand your product,​ is a fantastic way to ensure a thriving client base. You need to make your company stand out in some way, and you want people to remember YOUR specific brand when they need the services that you provide. Keeping the theme of your brand consistent is essential, however that does not mean that you can’t change things up every once in a while to keep the feel of your company fresh and up to date. Constantly evolving your services or products to fit the needs of your potential clients is a great business strategy as long as you are vigilant about maintaining your signature look and feel. If you are actively advertising, be sure to feature the same logo and types of images so that potential customers can get to know and associate you with a unique and individual style.

Quick tip #9: Get your brand straight!​

Let’s take a look at two PowToon examples:

As you can see, the image on the left really does nothing at all to promote or solidify our particular brand and style. The logo is not our usual one, which shows a lack of consistency, the image looks fine, but it has no relevance in terms of the company image that we are trying to portray, and it is ultimately plain and unmemorable. The image on the right, however, uses our company logo, and though it is simple, it captures the look we want our clients to remember and associate us with; cooky, cartoony, and “out of this world”!

In conclusion, portray a consistent style, use the same logo for all of your advertisement needs, and start getting your name out there for the world to see!
