As mentioned earlier, the black spot on your otherwise spotless record sometimes results from your decision, and correction benefits you.
If you are a gentle soul, and you feel your punishment is harsh, 1 Peter 2:19-23 says...
"For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God...
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously..."
There are times when well-meaning people, in their limited wisdom, can make the correction process so damaging that without intervention, the person they mean to help can be hurt instead.
Correction can be challenging, but God always makes it worth it.

Here is one more instance of a blank paper with one or a few spots that I would like to add.
In a creative activity for early elementary learning, a teacher can present a child with a piece of paper and a few black dots, then challenge the child to make it beautiful.
Here is an image from a similar exercise inspired by the book "Ten Black Dots" by Donald Crews.
God is a better artist than a kindergarten child and has even more beautiful ideas than Donald Crews.
You can not imagine how He will use the experiences in your life to shape you.
In  Isaiah 61:3 it says that Jesus came...

"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."
God can take all the things in your life that were meant to harm you and are commonly seen as ugly by others, then make them beautiful.
Give God your paper with your black dots, and He will perform a paradox by removing the blemish to make you pure and using the lesson to make you even more beautiful.
