What does ferpa do for education?
This federal law awards parents the right to have access to their children’s education records.
FERPA became law in 1974 and provides requirements for the proper release of information pertaining to students' educational records.
Enforcement of FERPA
FERPA is enforced by the Family Policy Compliance Office in the Department of Education.

First a FERPA complaint must be filed by either a student or parent. Following the Family Policy Compliance Office will start the investigation on districts FERPA procedures.

Student health and shot records.

EDucational Records

Which People have the right to obtain student data? 
Accrediting Organizations
To comply with a judicial order or lawfully issued subpoena

School Officials/Parents if student is minor.
