Many bead weaving projects start with a strip of LADDER STITCHED beads. This is a great foundation to easily get beads and threads into place and create a foundation to work off of. This quick video shows how to make a LADDER STITCH strip that can be used for flat or tubular designs; breaking down the fundamental elements of beadweaving to help you craft better and faster.
Ladder Stitch is usually used to start off herringbone, brick, and other beadweaving stitches by getting a starter bead and its thread in place to build off of. There usually isn't much other use for ladder stitch (I have yet to see a whole design using more than one or two rows of it)
Happy Beading!!
