SUMMARY
Alcohol misuse is when an individual drinks more the recommended limits of alcohol per day or is dependent on alcohol. Excess consumption of alcohol may lead to various types of diseases such as cancer, strokes, heart and liver disease, brain damage and mental health issues. Having this lifestyle will also affect others. You may end up unemployed, suffer with financial problems or go through family break ups. However, your local pharmacy plays a significant role in helping you to improve your lifestyle. The pharmacists can provide alcohol screenings, signpost people to their GP or other healthcare professionals if required.
