It helps us understand issues like climate change, reflect on our choices, and take responsible action. It also promotes teamwork to address global and local issues, just as Ubuntu values of shared responsibility.

ESD equips you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values that can make you responsible citizens; it also helps you explore how small local actions such as afforestation, recycling and reducing carbon emissions you release can help reduce climate change and build a better future.

BEFORE WE DIVE DEEPER INTO THE CONTENT, NOTE:
ESD can make you responsible citizens that will help combat climate change and overall lead to achieving sustainable development goal 13 (Climate action) which is aimed at addressing the global climate issue.
LESSON OBJECTIVES
Define Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and explain its purpose.Describe what climate change is and identify its main causes and effects.Discuss how sustainable choices can reduce the negative effects of climate change.
