La Constitución Vitalicia del Perú (1826)
Alcances y Aportes importantes
Promulgada el 9 de diciembre de 1826 por Simón Bolívar.
Datos generales de la Carta de 1826
Nunca llegó a aplicarse oficialmente, duró dos meses y fue rechazada en 1827.
Establecía un presidente vitalicio con poder sucesorio.
Constaba de 150 artículos y 11 Títulos.
Reconoce 4 poderes: Legislativo,Ejecutivo,Judicial y Electoral. 
Creación del Senado Vitalicio, compuesto por ciudadanos notables.

Para ser ciudadanos se reuqría tener la nacionalidad peruana, saber leer y escribir,

Aportes importantes
Se empiezan a instalar los jueces de paz en los pueblos.
Poder Legislativo: Emanaba de los colegios electrorales. Se dividía en tres cámaras: tribunos, senadores y censores.
Cuatro Poderes
Poder Ejecutivo: Ejercidido por el presidente vitalicio.
Poder Judicial: No de carácter popular sino independiente.
Poder electoral: Ejercido por los ciudadanos. Por cada 100 electores se  elegía un delegado.
Cámara de Tribunos: 24 miembros por un periodo de 4 años. Temas en materia política y financiera.
Poder Legislativo
Cámara de senadores: legislación civil, eclesiástica y los altos nombramientos.
Cámara de censores: 24 miembros de carácter vitalicio. Instrucción y moralidad pública.
